trip to the vet

we took both of the cats to the vet this morning. overall, they're both in good health.

shadow is starting to develop a bit of arthritis because of his size. at 18.3 lbs, he was deemed mildly overweight. so, if we can get a pound off of him, that would be great. the vet also recommended giving him glucosomine, so we picked up some tablets at petco. of course he ate it no problem. he was a good boy and had his rabies shot too.

zen weighed in at 8.5 lbs. the vet said that she has some very small cataracts. :( she recommended bringing her in in 2-3 months so they can check the progress. if they are significantly worse then, the vet said that an opthomologist visit would be a good idea. zen needed to have her distemper shot which she bitched and bitched about.

the final bill came to $122. it was less than i expected.
