eye exam time
it has been a year since my last eye appointment, so adam and i went to see the doctor at the lenscrafters at RTC. one of my eyes has improved a little bit while the other has gotten a little worse.
i hadn't really planned on getting new frames because mine were still in excellent condition, but i fell in love with a pair. the guy that was helping adam pick out frames asked me what i thought of a certain pair. i told him that i loved them, but i didn't know if adam would (they were a unisex frame). adam put them on the table, and i picked them up and put them on. they felt great, and i loved the look. so, i wound up getting them.
i won't have them for a week or two because my lenses have to be made, but i got the lenses and frames for about $170 after insurance and aaa discount. i really can't complain about the price. adam's were about $160, so the cost of both complete pairs was less than one complete pair without a discount. mine would have been about $550 plus tax without the discounts. wow.
since my prescription isn't way off, i'm going to keep my glasses from last year as a backup. i am going to donate the pair before that and two older pairs to the gift of sight. they're all in really good condition (both frames and lenses). they would definately work for somebody. :D
