the last few weeks

wow. the last few weeks have been nuts. adam and i went back to IKEA and bought the bed we liked last week. it was delivered on wednesday night. shortly after it was delivered, we had dinner with my sister-in-law, susie. i hadn't seen her since her wedding a year ago, so it was nice to be able to chat. jodi and richard decided they wanted to buy the old ethan allen california king bedframe and mattresses, so those lived in the living room until yesterday when we moved it all to their place.

on the health front, my tonsils decided on one last screw you by giving me tonsillitis one last time before they are sliced out next week. i went from having a normal voice to sounding hoarse in less than 24 hours. after another 12 hours, i had no voice at all. i stayed like that for a few days, and i've been regaining my voice for the last 2 or so days. one part of my back is killing me because i did something to it when moving all of the furniture yesterday. since surgery is less than 2 weeks away i cannot take anything with aspirin or ibuprofen or things like that. sooooo, i'm stuck with suffering and some vicodin. the vicodin helps some, but i really need something anti-inflammatory.

finally, adam turned 29 on tuesday. wow. we went out to bento box so adam could chow on some sushi to celebrate his birthday and finishing a nasty test pass at work. he spent all weekend at work and had been going crazy trying to get stuff finished.

oh yeah. since i worked only one full shift and 2 hours of another shift and the additional money that i have the IRS withhold from each paycheck, i will have a huge $2 paycheck!
