yeah, it was a bad day. it included pizza and a blizzard. :( i WILL be good this week. i ordered the 4 mile leslie sansone video, so i should get that mid-week. i think that will be good for me.
jodi and richard's crap arrived today, so we spent hours there helping them to unpack. at least it was a ton of exercise. i'm gonna be sore tomorrow!
anyway, we went to ixtapa where i had chicken fajitas and all of the trimmings. i did eat an extra snack (toffee bites of course). i missed the salad, some milk, and my vitamin.
it was an ok day. i think that the lack of food yesterday caught up with me. i ate my jenny food (except the salad, extra milk serving, and extra fat serving), but i ate a soft chicken taco and crunchwrap supreme too. i think that i'll be better today, but i need to make sure to eat everything every day. i tried the chicken fettucine that kirstie alley was screeching about in the commercial. much to my dismay, it was quite good. i also tried the personal pizza for lunch. that would have been better if i had cooked it in the oven instead of the microwave because lots of the cheese slimed off of it. at least i know for future meals.
not a bad day overall. i was busy busy, so i didn't get to eat a lot. i had 1/2c of fruit, a JC bag of cheese curls, a JC chow mein, a JC anytime bar, a JC bag of toffee bites, and 3/4 of a chicken quesadilla from acapulco fresh. i figured that since i had so few calories earlier, the quesadilla would make up the deficit. also, their quesadillas aren't greasy or very cheesy. i think it was a pretty good choice. i had 480 calories of JC food on a 1500 cal/day plan. geez. no freaking wonder i was hungry...
pretty good day. i ate half of my potstickers for dinner and had a salad with very little dressing and 2 corn fritters from canyons. otherwise, i was very on track. i'm not sure how tomorrow will go because i'm retaining tons of water from the heat (it's hard to get my rings off). i'll update tomorrow with how i did.
so, jodi and richard got here today, so i was a little bad. i didn't have JC food for dinner because we went to coho.
here's what i ate today...
JC french toast, JC chicken strips w/rice medley, JC anytime bar, JC cheese curls, apple yogurt, 2 1/2c servings of pears, 1.5 coho soft grilled chicken tacos, 1 slice of bread with olive oil and balsamic, the awesome coho crab dip with pita chips, and a tall caffe vanilla light frap.
i did not eat 1 fruit, 2 veggie servings, 1 salad dressing packet, 1 oz of lowfat cheese, and a JC dinner.
i still had a hole in my left ear, but the person re-pierced it anyway putting it through the front hole. well, it created a new hole in the back. it has been hurting more than my right (i'm guessing because the 2 holes intersected), so i took it out for about 30 minutes today. i then put it back in. i think it may have gone into the older hole because it seemed to hurt less. maybe it's a mental thing. i hope that it will be ok. i'm sure it will.
it was an ok day. i did eat a crunchwrap because i was really hungry, but i wound up not eating 2 fruits, a salad, dressing, extra veggies, 1 fat, and 1 milk serving. i will still be down when i weigh in on thursday morning.
yay! i just saw that my consolidation was processed. i now have a fixed rate 2.87% instead of the nearly 5% i would have had without the consolidation! YAY!
today is been a much better day than yesterday diet-wise.
as of 6pm, i still need to eat 2 servings of fruit, 1/2 oz of low fat cheese, about 3 cups of salad w/ dressing, and 1/2 of a dinner roll.
in the last 3 days, i have learned that i hate the cheesy enchilada and thai lemongrass chicken w/noodles. items that i don't necessarily like but would order again if there were limited options include the spinach and cheese tortellini, breakfast stuffed sandwich, and caesar dressing (too peppery).
i really love the french toast, chicken stuffed sandwich, chicken fajitas, fish & chips, the balsamic dressing, sourdough bites (pretzels), toffee bites (cookies), chocolate chip snack bar (think granola bar-ish with some chocolate), and the carrot cake.
i've eaten an extra JC snack and part of an extra JC lunch. on top of that, i've eaten a crunchwrap supreme from toxic hell. bleh. however, i've still had fewer calories than i would have before restarting JC yesterday. hopefully i'll do better tomorrow.
months ago, i stopped wearing earrings in my 3rd holes. well, i had been thinking about getting them re-pierced. since i was so good yesterday (which i think is the hardest) and i am working to get back on track, i got my ears re-pierced. if i take them out again, i am not going to have it redone. i'm pleased though. i like how the new ones don't use the superfat posts. they use a normal width post, so they will be wearable at a future date after i can change them.
yay! the only "bad" thing was that i had lunch out instead of eating jenny food, but i knew that was going to happen. otherwise, the only thing that i didn't do 100% was that my last fruit wound up being 1/2 fruit instead of 1 fruit. i was really hungry, but evidently that is extremely common during the first 3-4 days. ugh.
as cheesy as it is, i'm adding the following ticker in because it has bats and pumpkins!
so, it wasn't too bad. i am not horribly upset about my weight considering the amount of flying i've done since friday and the fact that i was wearing jeans. i'm having lunch with jason tomorrow, so i know that will be bad though. oh well, i'm feeling pretty good about the whole thing. last time i did JC, they had me on like 2000 calories, so i didn't lose anything. i'm on 1500 this time, so i think that it will work well. i guess we'll see next thursday!!
i have got to get myself back on track. we just eat out too much. so, i'm taking drastic measures. back in 1999, i went to jenny craig. i did that on and off until the end of 2001 (more off than on). now, i think i need the ridgidity of it. so, i have an appointment there today. way back when, i purchased a platinum membership, so there is no joining fee for me ever (thank god because i paid enough for it). they were able to locate that membership by calling my old center in oakland. man, i know that i really need to do this. i didn't really want to go the JC route, but that might be what it takes. it will certainly curb the eating out stuff. their food is expensive, but it's less than eating out for just about every meal every day. i'll post another update later.
man, i am so happy to finally be home. here's what i've been up to for the last week...
thursday: finish prep for colorado trip
friday: 6am flight to denver, 2 hour drive to avon, rehearsal dinner (3 hours of sleep on thu/fri night)
saturday: lunch on top of the mountain, wedding, reception
sunday: 3 hour drive back to denver, 6pm flight home
monday: recover from denver and re-pack, 11pm flight to virginia
tuesday: lots of errands related to jodi/richard's move (no sleep on mon/tues night)
wednesday: 8am flight (delayed), dropped cats at cat spaw, 3 hour nap (5 hours of sleep on tues/wed night)
so, i am sooo happy to be here. adam's having lunch with a manager in another group tomorrow, and i'm having lunch with jason on friday. i also relisted a bunch of crap on ebay too. yay. i think the kitties missed me, especially shadow.
i scratched the hell out of my face with my fingernail. it hurts. it sucks.
i'm 99% packed for denver. bleh. i do not want to get up and leave at 4am. that will greatly suck. now, we're supposed to give some person we don't know a ride from the airport to the avon area because the person had a flight change and no ride. it makes my brother's life easier, so we're gonna do it. man, it is just LAME LAME LAME though. i figure that if i take a shower tonight (since it will only be a few hours until i wake up again), i can sleep a little bit later. here's my mini-schedule for tomorrow morning...
3:30 get up
4:00 leave
6:00 get on the plane
10:00 arrive in denver and meet up with a person we don't know
10:15 get adam's suit pressed at men's warehouse in denver
12:30 arrive in avon with a person we don't know
last night, adam had to restore his iPod because it was hosing his computer. after he did that on both the mac and pc, it would only sync about 1GB of music before it would die and throw errors. so, i took it in the best buy today to get it fixed.
when his previous ipod died, best buy replaced it on the spot (and we first learned that we had be flat out lied to originally). they told us for future repairs, it would be a few hours or so to troubleshoot the issue. well, today i was told that they had to send it out and it would be 1-2 WEEKS.
supreme lack of consistent policy and failure to uphold promises to customers coupled with unwillingness to do anything that might be construed as customer goodwill, they have lost a customer of over 15 years.
so, don't even bother purchasing a performance service plan at best buy because it will be a giant waste of your time.

so, my LOMA books are scheduled to arrive on thursday via UPS. i hope that they actually show up by then so that i can take them to colorado.
my poor phone's speaker stopped working so it doesn't ring and speakerphone doesn't work also. adam called in an RMA on it tonight and opted for expedited shipping because of the trip. that should ship on monday via fedex to arrive tuesday or wednesday.
please please please let my packages arrive on time...
so, i started thinking about jobs today. i thought back to when i worked for an insurance company. while i was there, i earned an insurance industry designation (ACS) and had started working on a few others. i quit that company and moved to CA, so i never finished the others. i contacted them today to get a login to their website so i could get my testing information. well, i need 1 class to earn another designation (AIRC). i ordered the books for that one today. if i like doing the AIRC stuff like i used to, i will get the books for a different test and take the last one i need to get the AIAA designation. i figure that having more professional designations certainly can't be a bad thing even if i don't wind up working in that industry. :) YAY!
let's see... i don't think that there's really been a lot going on.
i got my hair permed so that i wouldn't cut it short. i figured that it used to be really naturally curly, so it would look ok. it will look a little better when it calms down in a few days, but i really do like it. jaime at paule attar in bellevue did it.
i've begun the packing process for the trip to denver. that's been mostly ok. i'm happy that the weather there is similar to the weather here. i guess that it's because beaver creek/avon/vail is up in the mountains.
i bought a new pair of shoes today. my knee and ankle have been very angry lately. i started to wonder if the mizunos that i had purchased early to correct my pronation and supination combined with the orthotics was causing some sort of over correction. i always liked k-swiss shoes, and they are very flat. so, i decided to go check out a pair. my orthotics fit well in there, and after wearing them for a few hours, my knee was hurting a lot less. the k-swiss shoes are also about $40 less than the mizunos, so i really can't complain. i think that this is probably my 5th or 6th pair of the white, classic k-swiss shoes. :)
the funky swing pack that i ordered from coach should be here on tuesday. i think that it will be great for the plane trips. damn 4th of july delaying my package delivery!!! ;)
we're going to jay and karsan's on monday to attend their neighborhood bbq. spiffy! jay and karsan rule, and their little girls are so damn cute.
our lease is up for renewal at the end of next month, and we got the renewal information today. of course they want to raise our rent. supposedly, it is to bring it closer to the market value. yeah, that's bullshit. moving sucks though, so we'll probably just suck it up. supposedly, we can get them to come in and clean the carpets. that would be nice at least.
